Dr. Robin Jaffee Frank | Executive Director | MoCACT

Dr. Robin Jaffee Frank

Executive Director

Robin Jaffee Frank, PhD, is an art historian specializing in American visual culture whose career spans senior curatorial leadership, academic teaching, and museum administration. She formerly served as chief curator at the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art in Hartford, and curator in American paintings and sculpture at the Yale University Art Gallery in New Haven. Robin has organized exhibitions that toured museums nationally, lectured extensively, published widely, and secured significant public and private funding. She brings strategic vision and institutional stewardship to advancing MoCA\CT’s mission and is excited to have the opportunity to deepen the museum’s engagement with artists, audiences, and the community. She earned her doctorate at Yale University.

Pamela Hovland | Design Director | MoCACT

Pamela Hovland

Design Director

Ms. Hovland received a B.S. in design and communications from Bemidji State University and an M.F.A. from Yale University. She has worked extensively in the areas of identity, print communications, signage and screen-based design for corporations, nonprofit organizations, cultural institutions and individuals. Her work has been recognized by the AIGA, the Type Directors Club, Emigre, Print, I.D., and Eye, among others, and has been included in many exhibitions. She is a founding member of Class Action Collective, the art collective that uses design to effect social change. Hovland is a Fellow of the American Academy in Rome and a Senior Critic in graphic design at the Yale School of Art.

As the Head of Exhibitions and a visual artist, Lewis is dedicated to creating opportunities for all visual artists and fostering engaging environments for visitors at MoCA\CT. Her passion lies in building meaningful partnerships with visual art institutions, including academia and galleries. Through innovative and collaborative efforts, she strives to elevate the arts community.

Sue is dedicated to inspiring artists and thinkers of all ages. As an artist and educator, she leads a dynamic team in developing experiential programs that explore art awareness and ability. Sue is passionate about nurturing creativity and awareness through engaging, hands-on, meaningful experiences.

Janice Egan arrived at MoCA\CT with almost two decades of leadership experience in development and fundraising in education. Her passion for the arts and dedication to connecting communities are integral to fulfilling MoCA’s mission to illuminate lives and build a more just world through art, education, and expression.

Sandra Nygaard | Director of Marketing and Communications | MoCACT

Sandra Nygaard

Director of Marketing and Communications

Sandra is a trained journalist who began her career in magazines and arts and culture reporting, building a strong foundation in storytelling. She has led marketing initiatives for globally recognized brands including Ralph Lauren, Mastercard, and MillerKnoll, translating creative vision into clear, compelling narratives across platforms. Her love of art and music led her to MoCA\CT, where she’s excited to connect people with the creativity and energy of contemporary art through stories that inspire and engage.

Kristen Young | Director of Performing Arts | MoCACT

Kristen Young

Director of Performing Arts

Kristen Young is passionate and dedicated to bringing the community together through the Performing Arts. She is a classically trained violinist who can be spotted performing throughout the state. Kristen has a Master’s in Music Performance and Arts Entrepreneurship.

Maggie Farrel | Museum Fellow | MoCACT

Maggie Farrell

Museum Fellow

Maggie Farrell recently graduated from Trinity College with a bachelor’s degree in Art History and American Studies. She joins the museum as a Museum Fellow, bringing a strong passion for art and education to her work. Maggie is especially interested in making art more accessible and engaging for diverse audiences. She looks forward to contributing to the museum’s exhibitions and educational programs.
